Auschwitz launches a Facebook page
Who would want to become a fan of Auschwitz on Facebook? About two thousand, two hundred people, one of whom is myself.
It’s not about being a fan of the death camp by any means, but more a fan of the museum and the education campaign surrounding it. History will repeat itself if future generations are not properly informed.
And that’s also why Auschwitz has its own YouTube channel: to connect with the new generations who have grown up with this social networking. There is no support on any of these outlets for the disgusting acts performed at the institution, but there is a great deal of information. I’d sure hope that any sane person would look at this data and think to themselves “What the Nazis did is unacceptable, and we need to prevent it from happening again.”
If you go to the page, the first thing that hits you is a picture of the camp. Underneath that are the usual “Suggest to Friends”, etc. buttons, and then you get a text block. It tells that Auschwitz is a memorial and what grounds it covers, then goes on to repeat the same thing in Polish. This seems appropriate, as the establishment is in Poland and many of its “fans” so far are Poles as well.
However, the best part of the page is its “Wall.” People have written all sorts of things on it such as “Never forget… Never again” and “The scary thing is this: Adolf Hitler was named ‘Man of the Year’ by Time Magazine in 1938. The world was deceived and lead into hell”. Though many of the posts on there are in English, native Polish and Spanish speakers, as well as others fluent in different languages, have posted as well.
I believe that the Auschwitz management was right in expanding its informational outlets to global social networking sites, as it will require both the support of new generations and of the entire global community cooperating together to prevent anything like this from happening again.
Jeff, Riley and I are entering Jerry Springer’s “Biggest Fan” contest. Here’s our entry, which is a parody of the show:

Evernote is a program for note-taking and research. It is, in my opinion, the best in its class and is available for PCs, Macs, Windows Mobile Phones, iPhone/iTouch, Palm Pre, Blackberry… the list goes on and on.
Whether you’re writing a book about the ins-and-outs of test cheating and the psychology behind it, doing a school research project or just want to have excellent memory, you need to download Evernote. NOW.
Just do it. It’s free. Run, don’t walk.
You can take little screenshots of stuff easily so you can refer back to them later, copy and paste text from a webpage (and then Evernote will automatically cite it for you), and there’s even handwriting recognition so that, in those screenshots you take, should there be handwriting, Evernote will translate it to computer text and log it for you. Sweet.

Matt would be so proud.

Incredible movie. Go watch it now. I saw it last night at the advanced screening and you’ll have to wait until tomorrow when it opens, but you need to go see it.
DO IT.

So, recently I’ve been frequenting a site called The Luminarium. They showcase some pretty amazing digital art, and although my fractal creations are nothing compared to the art on this site, I was able to find music on this site. I have applied for the site as a musician, and although it’s unpaid, I do hope i can get on. This would give me a chance to expand my music horizons as well as show more and more people my work. This was one of my main goals when i started producing; to get people to notice something new. Hopefully, they will accept my application and let me join their ‘team’ as a digital musician.

Hope you all enjoy some of the work that is displayed in the gallery ‘Genesis’. It’s pretty awesome.

I’ve been tracking the Forex in a disciplined manner for a good week and a half now. Before then I tracked on and off, but now I’m really back at it.
I was putting my daily findings for my chosen currency pair (not telling you which one!) at the time of day when a similar jump seems to recur on this big calendar. However, there is a more efficient way that I have adopted: Microsoft Excel.
If you’ve never used Excel then (guess what?!?!?!) it’s finally good for something! Make yourself a crude chart and put yours times and dates and value differences in! And it’ll even average times for you.
Microsoft Excel is finally useful for things besides completing pointless assignments in Computer Apps class.

Is this a thorough review of the new version of Windows 7? Nope. You might not even consider it a review.
I had Windows 7 on my laptop for a relatively short period of time. Why? Not because it was bad. I liked the looks of it and it ran pretty quickly as well as booted up quickly. However, the graphics card on my laptop doesn’t support the correct version of DirectX to have a working driver with Windows 7.
In English? The bar on the bottom of the screen with ‘Start’ on it took up like half the screen because my computer isn’t fully compatible.
I haven’t tried it on my desktop yet, but aren’t planning on it right now because I finally got Windows XP and Mac OS X Leopard to dual-boot on there and it’s pretty sweet.
My views on whether or not to upgrade? Based on my brief experience and what reviewers and people on blogs/forums are saying, you should seriously consider getting it on October 22 if your computer is fully compatible. Those are my thoughts.

Decided to play around with the snipping tool… and remembered something from math class… The original search said “Why do Americans hate French People?” My duplication is… slightly off…
So… There!
